MA V356PP Curating with Professional Placement
This module enables you to undertake a placement with an external Placement Provider. You will acquire effective work-based skills specific to your chosen field, and gain a detailed understanding of work processes.
It’s an opportunity to put taught skills into practise and develop a network of industry professionals. Your placement is a sought-after contribution to your employability, giving you the tools employers look for in skilled graduates.
The aims of this module are:
- To build workplace experience and understanding.
- To develop practice skills particular to the students’ chosen field.
By the end of this module, students will be expected to be able to:
- Gain effective work-based skills specific to the students’ chosen field.
- Gain a detailed understanding of relevant work processes.
The work placement must be approved by the University and should last 10.5 months (there is some flexibility in this). The School will require confirmation from the employer that the student has successfully completed the work placement, which will be confirmed by the Placements Team. You are advised to contact the Placements Team early in order to gain advice in finding and securing a placement.
This module will be delivered via:
- Working practice on site to gain practical experience.
- Critical reflective writing.
This module does not appear to have a published bibliography for this year.
