Celebration of 50 years

fiftieth anniversary logo

Our first 50 years have been shaped by life-changing experiences, internationally-recognised research discoveries and, at times, riotous challenges. Find out how we celebrated our 50th anniversary.

Essex forever

Our graduates live and work across the globe, shaping the world with the skills and knowledge they gained here. We'd love to hear what you're doing now and so would our prospective students to help find out what a School of Law degree can do for them. Please complete our graduate profile questionnaire.

Sign up for your free Alumni Card, which gives you access to events and benefits on and off our campuses – including the Careers Advisory Service, Students’ Union and library.

Events

The University holds events in the UK and around the world, including speed networking, our popular Sports Weekend and an annual reception at the House of Lords.

Our School also organises regular events for alumni. Contact us to stay in touch and keep up to date with upcoming events, or follow us on social media:

Essex Human Rights Alumni Association

The Essex Human Rights Alumni Association is a network of Human Rights Centre graduates dedicated to facilitating cooperation between, and sharing expertise amongst graduates. This is an invaluable resource as you embark upon your career as a human rights professional. The interaction between students, Centre members, and alumni promotes an on-going human rights-based dialogue and information exchange.

Our news

Our University's free, annual magazine for all alumni, Essex Effect, keeps you up to date with what's happening at the University – and what our alumni across the world are up to.

Thousands of alumni get our e-newsletter Essex Extra, which goes out every two months. If you don't receive it, we don't have your current email address, so make sure your record is up to date.
