Contact the IT Helpdesk for all problems, requests and queries relating to our services.

We provide a number of ways for you to get help with IT, from online video tutorials, to face-to-face support, whatever your problem, we're here to help.

Our services

Our knowledge base is an online collection of popular how-to guides and instructions relating to our IT services. It's available to everyone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The IT Helpdesk is the first point of contact for all problems and queries relating to our services. We provide first line support by email, telephone or in person. We can help you with things like:

  • mobile device support, including email and wifi set up
  • installing software and applications
  • give advice on malware and virus protection, and assist with removal
  • using our learning technologies, including Moodle, FASER and Listen Again
  • we can advise on faulty hardware and repairs for personal computers, but we do not offer a repair service

Problems which cannot be dealt with quickly by IT Helpdesk staff will be referred to one of the other specialist teams.

Classroom training courses

We run classroom training sessions for staff and students covering a range of software and services.

Most of our training sessions are based at Colchester Campus, however, we may offer training sessions at other campuses if there's enough demand.

  • Training room (Colchester Campus)

    We have a dedicated training room at Colchester Campus which is where most of our training sessions takes place.

    • 13 workstations
    • Room 4SW.3.3 (go through entrance 4SW, take the stairs that are on your left, go down two floors and exit the staircase - the training room will be on your right).
