Specialist courses

As part of our Continuing Professional Development provision, we can work with you to create specialist workshops and bespoke training tailored to meet your exact educational needs.

The ever increasing complexity of health and social care delivery and the demand for continual improvement in service necessitates that clinicians and health care professionals engage in continual professional development to support a higher level of skill acquisition and analytical ability. The future is a multi-skilled workforce who can deliver effective care with minimum interventions across health and social care.

As a qualified health or social care professional you are expected to maintain your practice registration by engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Training by experts in their field

Our staff are both academically and clinically qualified, and many are also practising clinicians researching in their own specialist fields. We are in the best position to provide those already in a health, social care or voluntary role, training and education that is not only clinically relevant but is based on years of experience and current research.

Extensive range of learning opportunities

Our School offers a range of learning opportunities that can be adapted to suit your professional needs, including:

Based across two of the University’s campuses, our School of Health and Social Care is easily accessible in both Colchester and Southend. As we work closely with all of our partnership organisations, we are also able to offer both off-site and on-site training to health and social care providers and other organisations we work with.
