Romanian Partnership Bursary

2019-20 entry

We offer bursaries of £1,000 to students from Romania who start at Essex in 2019.

Eligibility

You must meet all of the following conditions:

  • be a national of Romania
  • be ordinarily resident in Romania (see the full terms and conditions below for the definition of "ordinary residence")
  • have received an offer of admission for entry to the University of Essex for 2019
  • have made your application to study at Essex by 30 June 2019 and have accepted the University’s offer of a place as your UCAS firm choice no later than 19 July 2019
  • register for a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Essex with first enrolment in 2019-20
  • be in your first year of study at the University in 2019-20

Students who aren't eligible

You are not eligible for the award, even if you meet the criteria above, if you fall into any of the following categories:

  • your tuition fees are funded by the NHS
  • your course is at East 15 Acting School
  • you are directly continuing from one course to another (for example, from foundation degree or HND on to the final year of an honours degree)
  • you are directly continuing from one course to another (for example, from foundation degree or HND on to the final year of an honours degree) or you are transferring into the second year from another higher education institution

How to apply

You don't need to complete an application form. If you meet all the eligibility criteria above you will automatically be awarded the Romanian Partnership Bursary and will be notified by the end of September 2019.
