Mauritius Scholarship Programme

If you're an international student from Mauritius and are self-funding your studies, you could be eligible for a scholarship of £5,000, paid as a discount on your first year’s tuition fee.

Eligibility

You must meet all of the following conditions.

  • be classified as a national of Mauritius
  • for 2020-21 entry: make Essex your firm choice on UCAS by 19 July 2020
  • for 2021-22 entry: make Essex your firm choice on UCAS by 19 July 2021
  • be self-funded
  • be starting your first year of study on a degree course at the University of Essex in 2020-21 or 2021-22

Students who aren't eligible

You are not eligible for this award, even if you meet the criteria above, if you:

  • are on any East 15 Acting School courses
  • defer your entry (if you defer entry to the following year the award will be withdrawn, though you may be considered again under the following year's terms and conditions)

We'll assess your eligibility based on the information that you submit with your application for your place at Essex.

If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be awarded this scholarship. You don't need to complete an application form.
