Exclusive Hotels and Venues Scholarship

2019-20 entry

The Exclusive Hotels and Venues Scholarship of £3,000 has been established to encourage applications from Edge Hotel School students who aspire to achieve the highest levels in their studies and then in their hospitality career.

Eligibility

You must meet the following conditions:

  • Register for your first year of study for a full-time undergraduate degree course in the Edge Hotel School at the University of Essex in 2019-20 starting in October 2019.
  • Be enrolled on the following course only: Hotel Management (2 Year)

Students who aren't eligible

The following students are NOT eligible for this award regardless of meeting the above criteria:

  • if you start your course with direct entry into the second or final year

How to apply

Please complete and return the application form (.doc) by Monday 07 October 2019. Applications will be shortlisted for interview before the award is made. Interviews are expected to be held w/c 14 October 2019. Successful applicants will be notified of their award by the beginning of November 2019.

Payments

Each Exclusive Hotels and Venues Scholarship is worth £3,000 and is available for one student enrolled at the scheduled intake date of 03 October 2019.

£1,000 of the scholarship will be paid directly to the student by bank transfer within two weeks of being notified of the award. Subsequent payments of £1,000 will be made within two weeks of the student successfully passing Level 4 and Level 5 with a minimum overall grade of 60%.
