Clearing Open Days

Colchester Campus

  • Saturday 19 August 2017
  • 11am to 3pm

Our Open Day will be held in the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall on our Colchester Campus. Tours of our campus and accommodation will be running throughout the day and will be led by our current students, allowing you a real insight into life at Essex. Enjoy a cuppa, have a slice of cake on us and enjoy our Essex freebies! You’ll have the chance to chat to our student ambassadors, staff and our other academic and student services teams.

  • Itinerary for the day

Academics will be on hand in the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall between 12pm and 2pm to discuss your course with you and answer any burning questions you might have. Please note, only subjects that have Clearing vacancies on our Colchester Campus will be represented at the Open Day.

Campus and accommodation tours will be running on an ad hoc basis between 11am and 3pm. You will get the chance to speak to one of our friendly ambassadors and view our available on-campus accommodation. We will also be offering scheduled Meadows and University Quays accommodation tours between 11am and 2.30pm (please note it is approximately a 15-20 minute walk to these accommodations.)

  • Travel and arrival

You don't need to book before attending the Open Day, just drop-in. We recommend using the main entrance (.pdf) to the campus near Wivenhoe and parking in the Valley Car Park, as this is closest to the venue. There will be no charge for parking.

  • Clearing Open Day Travel Bursary

We’d love to meet as many of our applicants as possible, so if you attend our Clearing Open Day you may be eligible for our Clearing Open Day Travel Bursary to provide a helping hand with your travel costs.
