Already have your results? How to apply for 2025 entry
If you already have your results but do not currently hold an offer from Essex, complete the Clearing application form:
- Include your personal details, qualifications, and work history
- Upload your transcripts and certificates (if available – you can upload anything that’s relevant to your application)
Still waiting for results? Or applied through Clearing already?
As soon as you receive your results, you can apply through Clearing by completing this form.
If you have applied through Clearing already, or are already holding a conditional offer from Essex, instead of completing the form, send your
results to results@essex.ac.uk and we'll process them quickly.
If your results are lower than your offer, we'll review your full application and may still be able to accept you or offer you an alternative course at Essex.
Interested in changing your Course?
Email ugapply@essex.ac.uk with your name, application number, the course you currently have an offer for, and the course you'd like to switch to.
If you are looking to apply to join us in October 2026, applications will open
in September 2025. Email admit@essex.ac.uk if you wish to discuss your options.
How we use your personal information
We will use your information in line with the statement by the government below.
It explains how the data is used, who will have access and for how long.
We only request information that is legitimately needed for the management of your planned programme.
How the government will use your personal information
This privacy notice is issued by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), on behalf of the Secretary of State for the Department of Education (DfE).
It is to inform learners how their personal information will be used by the DfE, the ESFA (an executive agency of the DfE) and any successor bodies to these organisations.
For the purposes of relevant data protection legislation, the DfE is the data controller for personal data processed by the ESFA.
Your personal information is used by the DfE to exercise its functions and to meet its statutory responsibilities, including under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 and to create and maintain a unique learner number (ULN) and a personal learning record (PLR).
Your information will be securely destroyed after it is no longer required for these purposes.
Your information may be used for education, training, employment and well-being related purposes, including for research.
The DfE and the European Social Fund (ESF) Managing Authority (or agents acting on their behalf) may contact you in order for them to carry out research and evaluation to inform the effectiveness of training.
Your information may also be shared with other third parties for the above purposes, but only where the law allows it and the sharing is in compliance with data protection legislation.
Automatic offers
Where possible, we use automated decision making on the Clearing applications we receive in order to ensure we can respond as quickly as possible.
If you have declared A-levels on your Clearing application (and GCSEs, if required for entry to the course), and these meet our automatic Clearing accept level, we may make an automated offer.
If your application doesn’t meet the criteria we use to make an automated decision, your application will be considered by a member of our Admissions Team.
Please don’t worry, your application will still be considered and if possible we will make you an offer.
We just need to check your application in more detail, for example, if you have qualifications other than A-level qualifications.
We will not reject any application through the automated process.
If you need to talk to someone further about your application, please contact ugquery@essex.ac.uk.
