Essex Interns
Essex Interns creates paid internship opportunities that are
exclusively for Essex students and graduates. Membership is open to current
students and those who have graduated from Essex within the last three years.
Internships can be part-time whilst you study, or full-time outside of
term-time and after graduation, and can vary in length from around six weeks to
up to 12 months.
Join the scheme
You can join the scheme by filling out a quick
online registration
form telling us a bit about yourself.
Once you have joined, if we receive a new vacancy that might be of interest
to you we will email the details to you. It is then up to you to decide if you
would like to apply. We cannot promise that we will find opportunities in your
specific field – but we do work hard to encourage employers to offer internships
in a broad spectrum of subjects and an internship is a great way to try out a
new role.
We also advertise all of our internships on Essex
CareerHub and Facebook.
There may be opportunities listed that don’t get sent out to you so make sure
you ‘like’ our
Facebook page and select
'get notifications' to be kept up-to-date with our latest internship vacancies.
Essex Interns is also on Twitter:

The value of internships
Undertaking an internship can help you build your confidence, develop
workplace skills, apply your knowledge in a practical workplace setting, prove
yourself to an employer, and can substantially boost your employment prospects.
Completing an internship even after you graduate can give you the edge in the
job market, and allow you to try out different career options.
Many of our graduate interns have also gone on to secure good permanent
graduate roles with their internship employer.
Think an internship isn’t for you? Think again. Essex
Interns get real experience. A paid graduate internship could be a stepping
stone to your career. Check out some of our
graduate internship stories to find out how an internship could help you
land your dream job.
