Subcontracting

The University of Essex only subcontracts the delivery of Functional Skills in English and Maths at level 2 to an external organisation. All other provision is delivered solely by the University.

Functional Skills are delivered to apprentices by Adult Community Learning, Essex County Council. Only apprentices who do not have evidence of a GCSE English and/or Maths grade A-C or 4-9 or an equivalent qualification will be required to complete the Functional Skills programme.
